The Book

Harbuk: A Startup in the World's Most Volatile Market (Syria)

Publisher: Mosaic for Studies and Publication, Sharjah ISBN: 978-625-6589-43-8

While building Harbuk, Ahmad struggled with the absence of any literature documenting Syrian startup experiences, despite the unique lessons and challenges they carry. From that question the book was born, documenting what happens in the Syrian market, and understanding how young founders face a hard reality with limited resources, no support and no stability.

“I wrote this work as part of the experience, not as an observer of it, to present a realistic picture of the business environment in one of the region's most volatile markets.”

The book covers the daily challenges of Syrian entrepreneurs, power cuts, price volatility, absent funding, and legislative instability, weaving stories and professional observations into a narrative that connects the human and economic sides of Syrian entrepreneurship.

Also available at book fairs across the UAE, the Gulf and Egypt.
